 Donation Match

AEA recognizes the importance of charitable nonprofit organizations and their support of underserved communities and will match non-Partner employees’ donations to qualified organizations.

To be qualified for a matching donation, the organization must be a social service, charitable or environmental organization that is not-for-profit. Examples include Read Ahead, the NYC Mentoring Program, and Braven, all which AEA currently supports financially and through employee volunteerism.  More information on these organizations can be found in the campaign “AEA in the Community” on the main page of your Bright Funds account.

Certain organizations are not eligible for a matching donation including religious institutions, employees’ alma maters, and schools attended by employees’ children.

AEA will match non-Partner employee contributions of $50 or more to a maximum of $5,000 per calendar year.   For employees outside the US, the exchange rate in effect at the time of donation will apply.

Please log in to your Bright Funds account to make all match-eligible donations.

Donations in Recognition of Volunteerism

AEA also encourages non-Partner employees to volunteer their time and skills to organizations or causes that speak to them. In recognition of their service, AEA will donate $500 per year to eligible not-for-profit organizations. The same eligibility requirements and exclusions apply as for the traditional donation match. Employees who can demonstrate meaningful involvement in an eligible not-for-profit should contact Suzzette McDonough or Sandra Grinker.

Floating Holiday

To promote volunteerism, AEA offers all non-Partner employees one floating holiday to be used for volunteering in their communities. Time spent in service through a religious institution, a church-run soup kitchen for example, is eligible for the floating holiday. Time should be requested and recorded according to your group’s existing protocol. The Floating Holiday does not roll-over to the next calendar year and is not paid out under any circumstances.
